I love honey on my toast!
Yeah me too, but where does it come from?
Well kids... it is actually a very long and intersting process that requires many people
Lets take a take a trip to where it all begins!
WOW, I never knew it was such a process
It all starts here in our very own backyard! In gardens or farms. Beekeepers keep bees in beehives so that they can collect honey. About 50,000 bees live in just one!!
wow, theres a lot more work than I thought!
Here the honey that we collect from the beekeepers are put into jars
Next stop China... Honey made in our very own country is sold worldwide, our biggest target market is infact countries overseas
As you can see this primary industry is a very successful one in New Zealand and adds value to our economy. An industry that if there is enough workers will always be successful. It is important that the younger generation of people today look at taking on these roles in the workforce so it can keep thriving.
Many people are involved. Many hands make light work.
