The stamp act was repealed because of many protests and riots but then the British added more acts which angered the colonists even more.
  • The British taxed the tea in the colonies. This made the colonists livid because they felt as if the British could tax anything. So the colonists dressed up as native americans and threw 340 chests of british india tea into the boston harbor on December 16. 1773
  • throw them overboard!!
  • After the british realized the colonists dumped the tea, they admonished the Intolerable Acts. In Boston, the lawyers and political people held a secret meeting telling the colonist to refuse to follow the Acts. This led to the war for independance and the Declaration of Independance.
  • Stop the Acts
