  • Introduction
  • It's all because of my no - good - dirty - rotten - pig - stealing - great - great grandfather!
  • Problem or Conflict
  • Events
  • In the beginning of Holes, the narrarator tells us that the Yelnats aren't that fortunate. Their dad is an inventor and is trying to invent a way to recycle shoes and they only get what they need.
  • Climax
  • The problem Stanley faced was being accused of stealing Clyde Livingston's shoes. Stanley got sent to either jail or camp. Stanley preferred camp over jail, so that was his choice.
  • Resolution
  • Stanley picks up Zero and Stanley carries him to God's Thumb. They find water and onions and Stanley tries to scoop up water in the jars and in his canteen.
  • Conclusion
  • Stanley and Zero dig up a suitcase and get caught by the warden. When the warden tries to take it away Zero notices it says 'Stanley Yelnats' on it, so she couldn't.
  • The problom was resolved by Stanley and Zero going back to camp because Stanley thought there might be more treasure in the hole they found the lipstick container. When Zero and Stanley turn up late at night, they find a suitcase, but there in front of him was him lawyer. He went home with the suitcase and Zero.
  • At the end of Holes, Stanley and Zero end up rich and Zero finds his mom! The lesson or moral learned was friendship, because Stanley always had Zero's back and Zero always had Stanley's back. They helped eachout throughout the story.
