Cupid and Pysche
Our daughter Psyche is beautiful! Let us scheme to have her marry the richest man in the land.
There's the heavenly Psyche!
She's more stunning than Venus! We should worship her!
How dare these mortals worship Psyche instead of me, Venus! All of my temples are empty! I shall have my son Cupid make her fall in love with the ugliest creature on earth.
Cupid, however, was captivated by Psyche's beauty and accidentally shot one of his own arrows into his foot! He instantly became in love with the mortal woman.
After his blunder, Cupid fled back to Mount Olympus and explained to his mother Venus that he had fallen in love with Psyche.
You stupid boy! I shall curse on Psyche that every woman around her will get married- everyone except herself! HA!
