  • Chlamydia can be prevented in a few ways.
  • Chlamydia can be prevented by having a long term monogamous relationship with a partner who has been tested and got negative for STDs
  • Another way to prevent Chlamydia is to use latex condoms the right way during intercourse.
  • This can be treated with antibiotics. One of these is Azithromycin (1g orally in a single dose)
  • Another kind of antibiotics you can take is Doxycycline (100mg orally twice a day for seven days).
  • People should refrain from sexual activity 7 days after taking the antibiotics or until you finish a seven-day cycle of antibiotics.
