Hello, I'm Olivia Bradford, and this will be a short comic (because the website wont let me use more than 6 cells) about how conflicts in Southwest Asia have changed political boundaries.
Throughout history, conflicts have torn through this region, and many still go on today.
The conflicts have been over many things, from land, to resources, to religion, and much more.
One example of a conflict still going on today is the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. The Palestinians have occupied most of the holy land for many years, and Israel wants to take it back. As a result, Israel has gained more and more land from Palestine, changing the boundaries of where Israel is and where Palestine is.
There have been negotiations to annex land and an idea to share land.
Settlement has been used as a main factor to draw boundaries.
As agreements, negotiation, and conflict goes on, boundaries will change and people will move in and out.
In the coming years, we can expect the political boundaries of the West Bank to change as this conflict continues.
