  • The virus can affect humans, horses, birds, and other mammals.
  • The virus is in a bird then the bird is bitten by a mosquito and then the transfers the virus to a human, horse, or any bird.
  • West Nile Virus can affect your immune system, and if you are old then you have a better chance of getting sick.
  • Some symptoms are fever, headache, body aches, skin rash, and swollen lymph glands.
