After setting off the bomb Raleigh gets in his escape pod and ejects it to the surface but some of the precursors (The kaiju Masters) grab onto his pod and ride it to the surface to escape from the bombs blast, as soon as they clear the collapsing breach they let go and swim away from the pods. At the surface, Raleigh is presumed dead but he is not much to Mako's joy

Striker Eureka
Gipsy Danger and Striker Eureka close in on the breach under the pacific ocean ready to deploy the bomb.
With one kaiju down and two to go Gipsy (GREEN) makes its way towards the breach to close the gateway.
Striker Eureka (BLUE) suffers fatal damage to her hull and can't make the jump to the core.

Mako you need to listen to me on can hold onto your memories and feelings you're gonna break the drift.
Strucker Pentecost and Herc hansen activiaties self destruct in order to kill of the remaning kaiju so Gipsy can get to the breach effectively killing the two pilots.
Gipsy Danger jumps into the breach with the dead Kaiju to bypass into the other dimension and close the breach.
Mako has a mental breakdown from realizing Pentacost (her "Dad") is dead and she'll never see him again causing a break in the drift and Raleigh has to calm her down or else they'll die.
