Storyboard Text

  • Odysseus returns to Circe's island. She warns Odysseus of the dangers he will encounter, 
  • Watch for Sirens and keep an eye out for Charybdis and Scylla.
  • You must tie me up to keep me safe.
  • Odysseus boards his ship with his men. When all men are aboard Odysseus says Circe had explained their trip. Odysseus explains that they will encounter Sirens. Odysseus is unable to block the sirens songs. So he instructs his men to tie him up and not let him free 
  • Odysseus's men tie him up as they cover their ears in wax to block out the sirens's song, which causes sailors to jump ship so they can join the Sirens and by doing that it leads them straight to their death.
  • Brothers, cover your ears with the beeswax.
  • Odysseus listens to the Siren's song and begs his men to release him but they ignore him. 
  • Untie me at once!
  • Nope.
  • You guys hear something?
  • We survived! 
  • Odysseus' s  men untie him and remove the wax from their ears after they pass the sirens.
