I learnt heaps in that lesson, but i still am wondering why you would have 3 different you's. Du, Sie and Ihr.
Well in the German language we have impolite and polite words. Like to a friend you might use more slang/impolite, but to someone you have never met before you would use more formal/polite. Du is impolite for talking to 1 person, Sie is polite and Ihr is impolite for talking to more than 1 person.
Well that was a fun day at school. I learnt so much! I know feel like i understand Germany a bit more.
Yes it was good, since we only have three periods of work a day.
Did you just roll your R in three? I think heard the teacher do it in 'drei' when we were doing German numbers.
Yes i did. I'm not actually sure why we Germans roll our r's, but it is just how we pronouce the letter.
Thanks for all you taught me today. It helped heaps since it was my first day at a school over here.
That's fine. See you tomorrow.
I'm home mum!
Hello Dominik, did you have a fun first day at a German school?
Yeh it was awesome. I learnt about an eszett, umlets, why the German language has 3 the's and you's, and that Germans roll their R's.
