  • You are going to find period, comma, semicolon and dash. In 5 minutes I will ask 4 students to explain us.

  • Usea a comma before a cordinating conjunction. Between items in a serie. Between cordinate adjectives and after intorductory words.

  • Semicolon is use to join independent clauses not connected by a coordinating conjunction, join ideas that are similar and separate independent clauses joined by however or therefore.
  • Okey, what can you tell the class about the period?
  • Excelent !
  • We use the period at the end of any sentence that is making a statement. We should always put the period at the end of any sentence, behind the last letter.
  • Okey, what can you tell the class about the dash?
  • Perfect !
  • It is commonly use to indicate a range or a pause. Dashes are used to separate group of words. They are tow types of dashes "en dash - " and "em dash --"
