You shoot the dog Atticus
Scout goes and tells Calpurnia that they have seen a dog acting strange. So Calpurnia goes outside to see herself what Scout was talking about and when she sees the dog she urges the children to go into the house.
Calpurnia goes around the town and warns everyone about the mad dog roaming around the town. Calpurnia has no way in telling the Radleys about it so she goes to their front door and yells at them.
You know your father was called " One-Shot-Finch"
Atticus and Sheriff Tate arrive after Calpurina goes and warns the Radleys about the mad dog. Sheriff Tate insists that Atticus should shoot the dog but Atticus hesitates to do it.
Atticus takes the gun aims it and shoots the dog after having a couple of thoughts about it.
Miss Maudie explains to Jem that back when Atticus was younger he was known as "One-Shot-Finch". He had the nickname because he had the best shot of the town at that time.
