Every night, as soon as the sun fell, the couple met in the middle of the jungle, where they would set off on fantastic journeys that would leave them breathless. One day Malinalli came to Shararani and said...
Let's get married
They both knew their culture would not approve of their marriage, and would do everything in their power to stop it. Therefore, they decided they would get married before the sunlight broke.
I now pronounce you husband and wife
The people of the Zapotec civilization started realizing that Shararani was with an anonymous girl not from the village. A group of men kidnapped her while she was returning to the Mixtec village!
Malinalli was strapped to a wooden chair in the center of Mitla and was surrounded by 800,000 men and women. They demanded to know who she was, her relationship with their king, and her origins.
Meanwhile, Shanarani was in his kingdom missing his wife, wondering when he would see her again. Suddenly, loud voices started echoing from a distance. Something told him Malinalli was in trouble.
Where's my wife?
He sprinted down to the center of the village where he found a huge crowd surrounding his women. He shouted with the voice of an eagle “Let my wife go!”, and charged through the crowds, like a wild animal.
Let my wife go!
