Parris found the girls in the woods dancing around a kettle. This contributes to plot and conflict because puritans are not allowed to dance. Then causes the girls to lie and says that there are witches.
The Girls start blaming their weird behaviors on witches in Salem. This contributes to plot and conflict because this is when innocent people get accused. This contributes to the theme because they continue to lie to save themselves of punishment.
Elizabeth was accused of witch craft and arrested. This contributed to the plot and conflict because the evidence shown was fishy and John new. This contributes to theme because who ever said her name in court was lying.
John tries to tell the court that the girls are faking it. This contributes to plot and conflict because when trying to tell the court they don't want to listen because of the amount of people they killed. This shows that they continued to believe the girls .
John confesses having an affair with Abigail to save his wife and to stop the madness. the contributes to the conflict and plot because he's saying that he had an affair with Abigail and thats why she is saying Elizabeth is a witch. This tells us that she's lying so that she can finally be with John and to save her self.
The Court makes a deal with John. If he signs and confesses he's free to go but he refuses to sign to save his name. This contributes to conflict and plot because they offer to set him free to spend the rest of his life if he confesses but refuses because it would ruin his name. This contributes to theme because he is being honest and doesn't want to confess and lie.
