Conjuring a sword out of thin air, “this blade is one that no men know how to wield, no men but a son of Poseidon. Cut their heads off while they are sleeping and head for the east edge of the island. There I have left a ship for you, in which you can follow the west wind to reach home.” Saying this, Athena vanishes.
Working fast, the Gliding Caspian cut off the head of the first monster, but accidentally created a loud sound that woke the other. Thinking quickly, the Swift Felix flew up and kicked the back of the giant’s head, allowing Caspian to cut off its head with ease.
Leaving as quickly as possible, the two men rushed to the east edge of the island, where Athena told them to go.
Waiting for them, a beautiful one-mast ship stood strong and sturdy. Thanking Athena for her guidance and asking their fathers for a safe and quick passage, the Gliding Caspian and Swift Felix followed the west wind home.
