  • It's the 1950's and inside the warm and clean room, two tall glasses were set up by Mary Maloney, who is 6 months pregnant, has translucent skin, a soft mouth and placid eyes was eagerly waiting for her husband to come back home from work. 
  • Conflict
  • I've got something to tell you
  • i'm going to leave you. I'll give you money to take care of the baby and see that you are looked after.
  • what is it?
  • Don't make supper for me I'm going out
  • As Mary's Husband comes home she takes his coat off and gets him a drink.  Mary loves the presence of him and his glow. He drank it in one gulp which was strange. This is foreshadowing to the conflict
  • Rising Action
  • I'll make supper
  • Mary thinks that something strange i going on with her husband doesn't want food and when he tells her to sit down.
  • Climax
  • Mary's first instinct was to reject it. She thought she might have just imagined the whole thing
  • Mary went down to the celllar and grabbed a leg of lamb from the freezer.
  • Mary Maloney simply walked up behind him and without any pause she swung the big frozen leg of lam in the air and brought it down on the back of his head
