What is the difference between autoimmune diseases and Immune deficiency diseases?
Auto-immune diseases cause self harm to vital organs. This is caused by an active immune system with the absence of a pathogen in the body. Antibodies released by the immune system cause harm to vital organs. Examples include Lupus, multiple sclerosis and Celiac disease.
Immune deficiency disorders cause the body to have a weakened immune system. These diseases cause leave the body more vulnerable to other illnesses. Examples of this include AIDS, cancer and viral Hepatitis.
