Storyboard Text

  • Kylie was in her bathroom.
  • Ah! There's some face wash!
  • I need to wash my face...my skin feels rough.
  • But then, what were those particles in the face wash?
  • There, my skin feels much softer.
  • She decided to search that up on the internet.
  • She found a website with some information
  • what are the particles in face wash
  • Researchers are calling microbeads, often found in face washes, a serious environmental problem. Since the beads are so small, they are not filtered during sewage treatment. They are swallowed by fish and other marine animals.
  • (Microbeads are made of polystyrene.)
  • what are the particles in face wash
  • The beads are also terrible for your skin. They help cleanse pores, but tear skin if used roughly.
  • Kylie was quite surprised after she read what they were and what they did.
  • Oh my goodness! I didn't know I was harming the environment and my skin!!
  • From now onwards, I will not use any products with microbeads. I will do my best to protect my planet Earth and raise awareness about microbeads. Say NO to microbeads!
  • She decided to make a change.
