We began to Drive to Olivia to see My grandma in the hospital after finding out that she isn't doing well. We had known that my Grandma had cancer but we were told she had nine months to live and this was only the third month since then.
My parents prepared me for what I would see when I went into her room. When I walked in it saddened me to see her how she was. She couldn't talk but she still waved at me as I walked in.
"What do you want to do," I asked my family. we were at the hospital all day for a couple of days so along with spending a lot of time with her we made bracelets, played card games, and talked with my other family.
I was super nervous as I was talking to her alone so, I went to mom crying. My mom looked in the room and said "I think its time." we all went in and stood around her bed just talking to her as she took her last breath.
The next day we went back to our every day lives. Four days later we would be going back up to Olivia for her funeral.
When my grandma was diagnosed with cancer she had said, "I want my funeral to be bouncy!" and so it was. She has inspired me to live my life to the fullest and to try to make a positive impact on anyone that I meet just as she had. -Elizabeth Page
