Storyboard Text

  • Wait, that's Bob in Soda's old yearbook. I wonder what he was like.
  • Yeah. Sure, why not?
  • There's a guy here to see you. Says he knows you. His name's Randy. You want to see him?
  • Hi, Randy. Have a seat if you can find one.
  • Hi, Ponyboy. I feel like I let my dad down, being mixed up in this. I feel lousy about it.
  • It's the first thing I've felt in a long time.
  • My parents are dead. I live here with just Darry and Soda, my brothers. That's what's worrying me. If the judge decides Darry isn't a good guardian, I'm liable to get stuck in a home somewhere.
  • Darry is a good guardian. I mean, we don't get along sometimes, but he keeps me out of trouble.
  • I guess your folks feel pretty bad about it too.
  • I didn't know that.
  • I had the knife. I killed Bob.
  • Listen to me, Pony. You didn't do anything. It was your friend Johnny with the knife.
  • Johnny isn't dead. Johnny is not dead.
  • I saw it. It wasn't you. It was your friend who died in the hospital.
  • Don't ever say anything to him about Johnny. He's still pretty racked up mentally and emotionally. The doc said he'd get over it if we gave him time.
  • Hey, Randy, I think you'd better go.
  • Sure. See you around, Pony.
