Due to an accident that happened at their prior job, two migrant workers, George and Lennie are searching for new work on a ranch.
George and Lennie have a strong bond, but due to Lennie being mentally disabled and his child-like mentality, it hits some bumps. Such as, Lennie not being able to remember things.
Ya forgot again didn't ya, Lennie?
Sorry George! I'll try not to forget again.
Curley takes a strong disliking to Lennie and picks a fight with him. In the end he gets his hand broken. Curleys Wife recognizes Lennie for this, claiming she didn't like him anyway.
Lennie stop! Let him go!
Curley's Wife comes into the barn and starts conversation with Lennie. Lennie has a past of petting soft things and ends up petting her hair. Curley's Wife starts to panic causing Lennie to panic too, and he ends up breaking her neck.
I done another bad thing. George gonna be mad and I won't tend the rabbits.
Lennie runs off the brush that George instructed him to go if he gets into trouble. He escapes there and waits for him.
Think it was Lennie?
In the brush till he come. Tha's what he said.
George kills Lennie before Curley can get to him. George and the other men cover it up and move on with life.
