Storyboard Text

  • Two congress men discussing their opinions on closed border.
  • I propose a Bill to open the boarder of the untied states with Mexico!
  • If the vote isn't in our favor what do we do? I don't suppose we use a filibuster to take time away from the floor to get our way?
  • Yes, we'll introduce the Bill and during the "Floor debate" if things go south you'll start the buster. Use anything you can just make sure you keep talking.
  • We should "pigeonholed" the Bill, I don't believe this'll work. Most of the senate is republican and wont agree with us.
  • we have a public committee and we well see if they agree with us!
  • What if they discharge or petition? Even if we somehow manage to get this passed, this amendment on illegal immigration might not be as welcomed.
  • if we take a look at the calender's from congress, it multiplies the lists of legislation including all various stages.
  •  according to the house of rules committees, the speaker of the house explains the used of hearing scheduled and the consideration of the bill.
  • we'll call a conference committee if there are any bicameral differences between the house and senate.
  • Will all this kill the bill that has us on a closed boarder? not to mention that the president can veto this and it'll just be sent back.
  • Yes, but we can win this with 3/4 vote if it ever comes back, his signature on the bill wont matter.
  • Then it's settled. This plan better work...
