  • Alvin Cullum York was born on December 13, 1887, in a two- bedroom log cabin in Pall Mall, Tennessee
  • York had a life changing experience in 1914. He attended a revival at Church of Christ in Christian Union, converted and became a member.
  • York's commitment is challenged. Congress declared war on Germany in April 1917, Alvin reeived a draft notice.
  • York returns a hero, receives the congressional medal of honor, for helping captured 132 Gernman prisoners. He marries Gracie and have seven children.
  • 1926 the Alvin C. York Institute was foundedWhere boys and girls could be educated.
  • Seageant York, the MovieIt was a huge success. York dies in 1964 and was buried in Pall Mall cemetary with full Military honors.
