  • Douglas was a memeber of the democratic party and was pro-slavery. He was the creator of the Kansas-Nebraska Act and was nominated to represent the state of Illinois.
  • The Lincoln-Douglas Debates were about Lincoln and Douglas fighting for the position of the U.S Senate and the decision of slavery in the states. There was a total of seven debates.
