Storyboard Text

  • I love you
  • I promise we're getting married
  • You have to return, the kingdom needs you
  • The beautiful and sweet sakuntala lived in Himavat, the sacred mountain where Kanva had adopted her and since then she loved nature, took care of the animals and silvers of the forest
  • When you spend as many days as you have your name, you should go to the palace to celebrate the marriage.
  • One day the young King Dushyanta came casually to the forest. The villagers invited him to stay a few days in his company, so the king could meet Sakuntala and they had long and pleasant conversations. They fell in love and promised to be husbands
  • You better not lose that gold ring, or King Dushyanta will not remember you unless you show it to him.
  • His happiness didn't last long because news soon came that forced the king to return to the court and to tend his duties as king.
  • Before leaving, he gave Sakuntala a gold ring with the royal seal and his name engraved
  • Sakuntala couldn´t stop thinking about her fiancé. So absorbed was she thinking of Dushyanta that one day the hermit Durvasa came hungry from the forest who didn´t remember to offer him food or drink, hospitality rules that the Hindu religion obliges . Because of this discourtesy Durvasa got very angry and cursed her
  • Sakuntala did not hear these words and bathing in the Ganges, lost the ring without realizing it. At the moment when this touched the river, the memory of the happy days spent in Himavat was erased from the mind of the king, thus fulfilling the curse of Durvasa.
