I live in Westerviile, Ohio. The watershed here is in need of protection.
I am talking about the Olentangy River Watershed. There have been reports of Polychlorinated Biphenyl in recent fish samples.
Polychlorinated Biphenyl is a type of chlorine that is found in coolants that come from nearby landfills into the water. When the fish inhale the infected water, it can cause liver damage.
A way to protect the water is to raise awareness of this matter and convince people to move the landfill. You can also convince people not put these sort of dangerous chemicals in landfills near large bodies of water.
The watershed can also help people as well. It can provide a place to fish and can help clean water supply for the community.
They can also help reduce flooding. This can lead to less wild life destruction and less towns and cites having to deal with flooding repair costs.
