you owe money to your bank! dear reader, we would like to inform you that you owe £5,000 to your bank and must pay it back by Wednesday. Please send us your credit card details as soon as you can, via visa or master card, so that we can fix the issue as soon as possible.
Imagine this.You are sat at home checking your emails.
when suddenly you find an email stating that you owe £5,000 to the bank and must send your credit card details straight away.
1:bad spelling in an email from "your bank" 2:your bank wouldn't ask for you credit card details 3:your bank is phoning you (if it is important they would send a letter) 4:they ask for a lot of money
you start to panic
you send your details and an hour later find out that all your money has been drained from your bank account.
you could be scammed anywhere, anytime and by anyone!
