Storyboard Text

  • I know it is so detailed it looks real but that is a Gupta Statue, Buster. During the Gupta Empire sculptors made art in the form of sculptures that portrayed the human form or many of the Buddha or Hindu dieties.
  • Woof! Woof! GRRRRRR
  • Sculptors put so much detail into their work. The Gupta statues were created from wood, bronze or clay. Some were made to stand on their own foundations and others were carved into the walls of temples or caves.
  • Okay, I know you still think they are scary because they are not moving, but these sculptures are so important to us because they tell us about history and what was important to people in the past and how they spent their time.
  • Woof! Woof! GRRRRRR
