Storyboard Text

  • What do you expect a woman like me to wear to a dance like this?
  • I have got you a ticket to the dance.
  • It is so perfect!
  • While Madame Loisel is thinking about how much better her life would be if she were rich, M. Loisel gave her a ticket to a dance and she threw it across the room.
  • What happened to my necklace?
  • Madame Loisel convinces her husband to give her the 400 francs that he had been saving for a gun. She was still very upset because she did not have any jewelry to go with her dress.
  • The necklace I gave you was a different on worth 36 thousand francs. I lost the other one
  • The necklace I let you borrow was worth no more than 500 francs.
  • Madame Loisel goes to Madame Forestier's jewelry store to borrow a necklace. She finds a really nice diamond one and is allowed to take it for no price.
  • The End
  • At the night of the dance, Madame Loisel loses her diamond necklace. They search where she has been, but can not find it.
  • M. Loisel and Madame Loisel bought a replacement necklace that cost 36 thousand francs. After 10 years paying the necklace off, Madame Loisel tells Madame Forestier that it was a different necklace they bought for 36 thousand francs.  In the end, Madame Forestier reveals that the necklace was only worth 500 francs at the very most.
