Lucius, don't just stand there! Run to the Senate house now!
What do you want me to do there, Madam?
Oh, let my determination keep me from speaking what is in my heart!
I want you there and back before I can tell you what you should do there.
Do you know ifCaesar has gone to the Senate house yet?
Not yet, madam. I am on my way there.
Portia orders the servant, Lucius to go to the Senate House. He asks her what he should do once he is there.
She is so distracted that she is unable to tell him the purpose. She knows what Brutus is planning to do to Caesar, and is unwilling to keep it a secret.
A soothsayer enters and Portia asks him if he has seen Caesar go to the Senate house.
