To get back on his feet, Kevin applies for jobs and goes on interviews.
Hey babe, I have an interview today! Wish me luck :)
In the city of Chicago, there is a f4 tornado storm hitting. The Park family's home has been severely damaged.
There has been a power outage and Pia & Kevin Park and their kids, Kian (15yrs) and Lara (12yrs), their house has no power and there is a leakage from the heavy rain.
FEMA is an agency of the United States Department of Homeland Security that provides citizens with financial and physical assistance during a presidential disaster declaration of an emergency.
I knew this would happen. We have to call FEMA.
Kevin specializes in IT and has recently lost his job due to his company downsizing and recieves unemployment insurance. On the other hand, Pia works at a vet at the South Loop Animal Hospital a few minutes away from their house.
Now we'll have enough money with my $1,000 unemployment insurance and the $5,000 from FEMA to fix up our home.
After the storm passes, Pia and Kevin go outside to check what damage had been done to their house.
They are both shocked to see that their window has been broken and the roof and shingles on their house have fallen off. A tree has also fell on top of their home.
Kevin and Pia decide to call the FEMA hotline and inform them about the damage the tornado did to their home. The person understands the Park's issues and manages to help them out. FEMA gives the Park's a $5,000 grant for their property damage.
