  • Cellular Respiration Cartoon
  • I do know a thing or two, but first...
  • Hey Mrs. Miller! How does cellular respiration work?
  • Cellular Respiration Cartoon
  • I know. Alright, lets take a look through cellular respiration.
  • Woah! This is so cool!
  • Cellular Respiration Cartoon
  • Animals obtain food from eating plants or eating other animals. In the first stage of cellular respiration glucose from foodis broken down into smaller molecules, and a small amount of energy is released. In the second stage occurs in the mitochondria. Chemical reactions then break down the molecules further. CO2 and H2 O are realeased by exhaling.
  • This is some good meat!
  •        Chemical         Reaction(s)
  • Releases --energy --carbon dioxide --oxygen.
  • Yum!
  • Cellular Respiration Cartoon
  • I know this might confuse you because when you think of respiration you think of breathing but it actually isn't!
  • Cellular Respiration C6H12O6+6O2---> ATP+6CO2+6H2O
  • Yeah, but actually it is when cells get energy from glucose by breaking down food moleclues that release energy!
  • The cells are broken apart and put back together like in the Fix it Felix game with Wreck it Ralph how he breaks the building then Felix puts it back together.

  • Lisa Simpson is a vegetarian, so the foods she eats gives her lot's of energy like how when herbivores eat it provides them with a lot of energy too!
  • Don't forget to change me back Mrs. Miller!
  • Cellular Respiration Cartoon
  • No problem! See you soon!
  • Thank you so much for teaching me today!
  • Wow! It seems like you've learned a lot!
  • Haha, I almost forgot!
