Storyboard Description

The Development of The Atomic Structure and my Knowledge towards it.

Storyboard Text

  • Sis, can you help me in my homework?
  • Its about the development of the atomic structure.
  • OH! I loved that topic, I can remember that Democritus was first.
  • Sure! Anything for you lil' sis.
  • He said all matter was made of tiny spheres called atoms and were indestructible. No one believed him until was proven true by John Dalton. He proved Democritus's model as True.
  • He is Right!
  • Dalton's model was claimed false by J.J. Thompson. He claimed that the solid sphere could be broken down into smaller parts, he used a cathode ray tube.
  • His model was like a cookie, electrons were scattered like chocolate chips in a cookie. Same number of positive and negative charges.
  • EUREKA!!
  • Then Ernest Rutherford directed a narrow piece of light at gold foil. He made a model where electrons orbit the nucleus but revolves around it.
  • Eugen Goldstein used a discharged tube to observe a beam of light pass through.
  • Why aren't electrons attracted to the nucleus and cluster around it?
  • Niels Bohr soon stated that electrons are in a constant motion and they absorb or emit energy.
  • Sooner or later, James Chadwick discovered Neutrons. Then Erwin Schrodinger started treating electrons as waves in a wave-like pattern and they had no exact path around the nucleus. As of today, we still beleive this theory.
  • Zzz.. What if I make a new Atomic theory?.. Zzz..
