Pinocchio is arrested for murder by the Virginia police under the probable cause that Pinocchio was found asleep in the house near the victim when the police came to investigate the crime. He was read his rights and given a lawyer.
At the Virginia Circuit Court, a bail hearing and the arrainment is held where the judge decides Pinocchio's bail is set at $5,000 after Pinocchio pleads not guilty. Although he looks like a child, he was carved into the shape of a boy and was alive when he was just block of wood which was made more than 18 years ago. Pinocchio is unable to pay bail and waits 3 days for trial. If Pinocchio is guilty, he will be sentenced to 5 years in prison.
Virginia v. Pinocchio at the Virginia circuit court begins. The prosecutor, Virginia, calls a member of Jimminy's family as a witness. James Cricket testifies that Geppetto, Pinocchio's father, was jail at the time of the murder. He also testifies that Jimminy left his hole in the wall to speak with Pinocchio when he walked in. A few minutes later, James heard Jimminy scream. James walked out and saw Jimminy dead and Pinocchio walk to his room. The defendant Pinocchio had nothing to testify.
