Storyboard Text

  • Exposition:The old guy's eye vexed the narrator, and is conceived to kill him.
  • "He had The eye of a vulture--a pale blue eye, with a film over it."
  • Rising Action: All of the 7 nights he was profound over the old man's eye and waiting to kill him.
  • "It took me an hour to place my whole head within the opening so far that i could see him as he lay upon his bed
  •  Climax: On the 8th night he put the bed on top of the old man and killed the him.
  • "I removed the bed and examined the corpse. Yes, he was stone,stone dead."
  • Falling Action: The narrator dismembered the corpse. Then he replaced the planks and put the arms and legs there.
  • "I then took up three planks from the flooring of the chamber, and deposited all between the scanting."
  • More Falling Action: Police arrive to search the premise because of a shriek heard by the neighbors.
  • "The shriek, I said, was my own in a dream." "The old man, I mentioned, Was absent in the country."
  • Resoulition: The narrator then took the visitors all over the house. He then brought chairs into the room, and desired them to rest. Then he placed his chair upon the spot where he put the corpse.
  • "Villains!" I shirked,"dissemble no more! I admit the deed! Tear up the planks ! here, here!
  • The narrator's conscience got to himself and confessed.
