  • Because Celiac Disease is hereditary, treatment for will be hard but is treatable. Lifelong adherence to a gluten-free diet. People living gluten-free must avoid foods with wheat, rye, and barley. Ingesting small amounts of gluten, can trigger small intestine damage.
