Storyboard Text

  • Up Until the Estates General Met
  • Well, The King is doing it to fix the corruption in our government, right?
  • Look at him, The King talks like a friend, but the taxes he collects are too high for our estate to pay, like the peseants have enough to deal with. It's an outrage!
  • Well look at that, they finally acknowledged our rights in their Declaration of Rights of Man document. That fixes our problem doesn't it.
  • When the Moderates took power and the Consititution of 1791 was signed
  • Yes it is great, but they decreased the power of the monarchy as well. Lots of changes are about to happen you know.
  • When the Radicals Took Power
  • Isn't it great! They finished off the King and Queen once and for all! Also, enemies beware because we will come and take you out, that means you to clergy!
  • This is crazy! The Radicals are on a warpath eliminating everyone that stands in their way! This also includes us middle class as well.
  • When Napoleon Was in Power
  • King Napoleon is a great king I say, he bestowed us with prosperity for the country along with new roads and banks.
  • He is a good king alright, but he does rule with a tight fist. He is more strict then King Louis was ever before.
  • At the Time of Napoleon's Defeat
  • Despicable! I don't think I can call him King anymore because the nobles dethroned him. He got most of our army killed for Pete's sake. Serves him right to be exiled.
  • You know Napoleon couldn't keep the throne forever. The Congress of Vienna did outlaw him but also made regulations to save Europe, so it's a win either way.
  • After the Haitian Revolution Sucess
  • It was very successful indeed, but surely there was some other way we could've done it. We wanted to restore equality but revolting like that was uncalled for! There had to be another way.
  • We have done it! The French have left us and we are free once again. The country is in a state of independence and equality!
