  • I call for a meeting!
  • The French Revolution occurred in the year of 1789 in France. The French Revolution was a period of far-reaching social and and political upheaval. 
  • Tennis Court Oath
  • The French Revolution was caused by economic and social inequalities in the Old Regime. Also by the unfair tax systems.
  • Storming of the Bastille
  • It was the first meeting of the Estates General called since 1614. King Louis XIV called the meeting because the French government was having financial problems.
  • The Great Fear
  • The Tennis Court Oath is a pledge taken by the National Assembly to not leave their hideout. They could leave when they had drawn up a new constitution for the Third Estate of France
  • The Storming of the Bastille occurred on July 14th, 1789. It was a raid of the prison Bastille for the peasants to get armory for their rebellion. 
  • We are taking your weapons!
  • The Great Fear also happened in 1789. It was a period of panic and riot by peasants  because of a rumor that was spread through France.
  • I'm scared of the King!
