One day a girl named Sandy was on the beach reading a book with her family, when a big dog came and jumped on her, his name was Lob.
Lob was taken to Liverpool with his owner Mr. Dodsworth. Sandy thought Lob was gone forever but she was wrong, the next night Lob ran from Liverpool to Cornwall and jumped through the Pengelly's window just to see Sally.
Mr. Dodsworth decided he couldn't take care of Lob, so after a long negotiation Mr. Dodsworth gave Lob to the Pengellys. Sandy was overjoyed.
One night Sandy's aunt, Aunt Rebecca, asked for Sandy to come over, so Sandy and Lob went and were walking to Aunt Rebecca's when... CRASH! A speeding car hit Sandy.
Sally spent quite a few days in the hospital in a coma. While The guard outside of the hospital was shewing off a big German Shepard. Granny Pearce came to the hospital and found Lob standing at the door. She persuaded the guards to let Lob in. Lob ran straight to Sandy's hospital door and whined, when the door opened Lob ran and sat by Sandy and Sandy woke up.
After Sandy woke up Lob bolted out the door outside. Granny Pearce was going to run for him but Mrs. Pengelly told her that Lob was dead and got hit by the same car Sandy did and the twins found him with all broken ribs, so the twins sank Lob to the bottom of the lake with a piece of concrete tied to his collar. Mr. and Mrs. Pengelly made him a tomb stone in their yard that said '' Here lies Lob Sandy's dog burried at sea''.
