Hans Guderion inspired the tactics of Blitzkrieg. He was noted for his success as a commander of the Panzer units. Panzers were the second part of the Blitzkrieg plan. it was one of the most destructive of them. He created a fast and easy way to take over coutries.
They would weaken the city with luftwaffe. Then after they would send the panzers. after the panzers they would send the wehrmacht. They would send them in this order because it was one of the most destructive ways to attack. It was fast and easy.
Germany first used the blitzkrieg on Poland September 1 1939. It took one month to take over. Poland was a new country at the time. They still had WW1 technology when Germany attacked. This was one of the fastest takeovers there was.
The Blitzkrieg was most effective on flatter ground. The mountains were harder to maneuver. They successfully took over Denmark, Poland, Belgium, Norway and Holland.
The Blitzkrieg was used because it was a fast and easy way to take countries. It was destructive and countries usually gave up or were not able to put up much of a fight. The Blitzkrieg was extremely effective because they didn't have an opportunity to repair from the damage,
