  • Herod's Birthday Party
  • "I want the head of John the Baptist on a platter!"
  • "I will give you whatever you want."
  • Jesus came to be baptized, but John was wondering why he was baptizing Jesus, because he was the one that needed to be baptized by Jesus. After Jesus was baptized, the Spirit of God descended in the form of a dove and the voice of God said, "This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.”
  • John is Buried
  • John the Baptist was thrown in jail because John was saying that it was against God's law for Herod and Herodias to be married because Herodias was the wife of Herod's brother. Herod wanted to kill John, but he did not because he was worried that there would be a protest because many people believed in John.
  • At Herods's birthday party, Herodias's daughter preformed a dance that pleased him so much, he told her that he would give her anything she wanted, up to half of his kingdom. She went to her mother, and her mother said to ask for the head of John the Baptist. Herod ordered for John the Baptist to be executed and the head to be brought up.
  • Later that day, John's disciple's buried his body. They than went to Jesus and told Him about what had happened.
