This storyboard does not have a description.
I am Carole Cohen and I am reporting for the Ancient News network. It is the Han dynasty. I'm here with Lu Ban, the inventor of a cool new invention called the umbrella.
Can you tell us what the umbrella does, Lu?
Sure, Carole. The umbrella is designed to protect people from the rain and the sun. I was inspired by seeing children using lotus leaves for rain shelter.
Well, you have to push up on the handle of the umbrella to make the fabric open. The fabric covers you and protects you.
How does the umbrella work, Lu?
All umbrellas are not the same. They can be made out of different fabrics and have different designs.
Are all umbrellas the same?
I am a carpenter and an inventor.
What was your job before you invented the umbrella?
Ok folks, we are almost done talking with Lu Ban, but we have one more announcement to make.
