  • NZ has over 30,000km of gravel roads! Today we will be taking you on a great gravel ride on the banks peninsula near CHCH.
  • Today, we are going to show you a great gravel ride leaving from a Birdlings flat
  • The ride starts crossing this thick gravel beach until we reach the little bridge over the channel linking lake forsyth to the pacific ocean.
  • Follow Bossu Road until you get to Jubilee road - then its time for a VERY steep descent!
  • The first climb up Bossu Rd starts immediately and it shows you why so many people like gravel bikes with low gears ! The views are incredible though
  • We are at the bottom of Jubilee road in Wainui. There isn't anywhere here to buy supplies unfortunately - which is a shame as id really like a coffee! - We are only Xkm in to the ride now, but we have climbed and descended xxm. Now we are going to join Bossu road again and start another climb!
  • mid way through the climb and we are back on gravel, lets get to the top for some more great views! - and maybe a snack!
  • This section is on the road but dont worry, we will be back on gravel soon!
  • This is my favorite part of the ride lots of ups and downs and a brilliant view everywhere you look!
