  • EXPOSITION
  • CONFLICT
  • RISING ACTION
  • The man is in his house and it's midnight of a bleak December. The protagonist is mourning over the loss of his loved one, Lenore. 
  • CLIMAX
  • The conflict in this poem is character vs self because the main character is having conflicts within himself, because he isn't able to manage the loss of a loved one.
  • FALLING ACTION
  • While the narrator grieves, he hears tapping on his chamber door . Although when he opens the door there is no one. When the main character opens a shutter the raven flies.
  • RESOLUTION
  • When the narrator asks if he will ever see his loved one again the raven answers one more time: "Nevermore". 
  • The main character that becomes angry by hearing the raven's reply yells him to leave but the raven says: "Nevermore".
  • The raven never leaves and the main character's soul will never be a whole.
