  • We deserve this land! We fought for it, we own it!
  • It is the King's orders, so we will stay loyal no matter how many lives were lost for this land.
  • Stamp Act (1765)
  • COME  GET YOUR STAMP! FOR ANY PAPER GOOD, THE KING HAS DECLARED A NEED FOR THE STAMP TO SHOW IT HAS BEEN TAXED!
  • Boston Massacre (1770)
  • The proclamation took place when the King of England didn't want to deal with so much land and the people of it, so he createda line and gave the land back, upsetting many colonists in the process.
  • Boston Tea Party (1773)
  • If they want to tax us so much for this tea, we'll throw it out!
  • In 1765 the stamp act was created to show all paper goods have been taxed by Britain.
  • Intolerable Acts (1774)
  • No more town meetings! As a punishment for raiding multiple ships, the king has prohibited town meetings!

  • Less than one year later after the Boston tea party, Boston prohibited town meetings, no legislature meetings, and overall restricted rights.
  • The English parliament in 1775 would reject EVERY idea first continental congress proposed.
