Storyboard Text

  • Exposition
  • Beasts of England we all want to be free
  • Conflict
  • Rising Action
  • Mr. Jones runs a farm and the animals are forced to work and do what they must do to satisfy Mr Jones. Mr. Jones is a drunk and doesn't take as much care as the animals as he should. Old Major is a pig that really wants to be free one day and has meetings with the other animals at night about Mr. Jones and taking this farm.
  • Climax
  • When Old Major dies the animals want to go on a rebellion and they drive Mr. Jones out of the farm because he is not feeding them at all. They eventually do and now he is just a drunk living in a ghost town.
  • Falling Action
  • Mr. Jones decides that he wants his farm back so he attacks the farm. Snowball led this defense because he read a book about Julius Caesar. The animals defend this with different stages, first they sent birds to fly over their heads, then he sent geese to peck at the legs, then he sent sheep to run around the people, then they fell back and big animals came bursting out of the stable. This battle is known as the battle of cowshed and they shoot the gun of Mr. Jones on the anniversary of it.
  • Resolution
  • Napoleon drove Snowball off of the farm with his 9 dogs and convinced everybody that Snowball is bad. They started to build a windmill and they were working extra hours to build the windmill especially Boxer. There was a storm one day and it blew over the windmill and Napoleon said that Snowball came in at night and sabotaged the windmill when it was really just the storm. Now all of the animals want to kill Snowball the next time they see him. Once they had finally rebuilt the windmill the farmers had attacked and blew it up. The animals had another battle and this time they did not stop and they won there were just lots of injuries, this was known as the battle of the windmill.
  • Boxer wanted to complete the windmill after it fell over before he reached the age of about 12 because he wanted to feel good about it in retirement. He was pushing himself to the limit and one day just colapsed. They called the human doctor or at least that is what the animals thought that he did. Then the van came and on the side was a brand for a slaughter house. The few that could read spread the news but squeler just said that they haven't had time to paint over the van when really Boxer died in a slaughter house.
  • Slaughter House
  • Toward the end of the story the animals are very far from equal. The pigs are beginning to follow the human qualities like walking upright, whipping the other animals, and playing cards with the humans. The pigs also are now friends with the human farmers.
