The creature finds a hut to stay in that he thinks no one lives in. HE LATER FINDS OUT MANY POPLE LIVE THERE.
A blind man lives there and runs out when he hears some one is in the hut. "He turned on hearing a noise, and perceiving me, shrieked loudly, and quitting the hut, ran across the fields," (Shelley 11.87).
The creature goes in the hut after the blind man runs away and finds food. he can resist eating it. "I GREEDILY DEVOURED THE REMNANTS OF THE Shepherd's breakfast," (Shelley 11.87),
The creature discovers fire for the first time. He finds out that when fire keeps you warm, it's good, but if you get too close or touch it, then it's bad.
The creature suddenly feels tired. he finds a stack of straw to sleep on. he falls asleep very quickly.
The creature, luckily, wakes up before anyone else returns to the hut. he has to leave before anyone sees him and come back when he thinks no one will see him returning.
