In 1955, there was a lot of segragation between black and white in the USA.
On the busses, white people entered in the front, and black people entered in the back of the bus.
If white people entered while the bus was full, black people had to give up their entire row so the whites could sit.
Rosa Parks was sitting on a bus , but had to leave her spot because the whites did not like her prescence.
Rosa Parks refused to move for a white person, and it started the bus boycott.
The boycott made the bus company loose a lot of money, and the government realised the segregation law in Montgomery was unconstitutional.
