Storyboard Text

  • Title
  • Paraphrase
  • * Knock Knock *
  • Connotation
  • How a raven came to watch over Poe and talk to him.
  • Attitude
  • One night, Poe was sleeping and was awaken by a knock at the door and then footsteps, he goes down to answer to door, but no one is there. Suddenly, a bird flies in and sits on top of the door.
  • Shift
  • Is it good luck for a raven to come and sit on top of your door and watch over you?
  • Theme
  • The tone of the poem is melancholy and unrealistic. A Raven cannot talk to a person, or tell them things in return.
  • At the beginning, Poe was really hesitant, and now that he has talked to the raven, he seems to have calmed down more.
  • Nevermore
  • Correct, the title talks about a raven, so it would clearly be right if the poem has a main character as a raven.
