What are the Everglades? And why should I protect it?
That sign just turned into a man!!! Whaaaaaaaaaaa!
I am doctor Arnold Vanswlieght and I am an expert on wetlands because I come from south Florida, where the Everglades are.
What is someone from Florida doing here in Massachusetts?
The Everglades is a wetland and the USA is filled with them. A wetland is an area of land that is saturated by water and is an important link between land and water. Wetlands control the flow of water, nutrients, and energy throughout an ecosystem.
WHY DID YOU PUSH ME?!?
So why ask the quest- ohhhhh. You were trying to promote it by making people interested.
What the?! Why did you push me!?!
Becuase you pushed first! I am the expert here. My name is Holly Rotoly and I am the one who put up the sign!
Wetlands are beneficial to people because it controls the water quality by filtering the chemicals out before releasing it to the ocean. It is also a good place to go kayaking and take some artsy photos. Lastly, they provide homes endangered species like the Whooping Crane. You can protect it by participating in programs that help restore them, report illegal actions, and use native species to maintain the ecological balance.
